Suburban trains (Towards Tambaram) : Aboard from Park Station opposite to the Central Railway Station and alight at Chetpet Station. The journey time will be around 5 minutes. From Chetpet Station hire an auto and alight at NIRT (TB Hospital) will cost around Rs.25/-.

From Chennai Egmore Station : NIRT is around 4 km from Chennai Egmore Railway Station. Taxi or auto will take approximately 10 minutes to reach NIRT via Egmore High Road. It will cost approximately Rs100/= or Travel by Chennai MTC (Metropolitan Transport Corporation) Buses Route No. 27B – opposite to the Egmore Station(towards CMBT) – and alight at TB Hospital.

From Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT) : NIRT is around 10 km from CMBT. It will cost approximately Rs15/=. Travel by Chennai MTC (Metropolitan Transport Corporation) Buses Route No. 27B and alight at TB Hospital ( Via.Arumbakkam Aminijikarai, Taylors Road).
