Overview


The Administration of ICMR–National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis (NIRT) provides comprehensive administrative and financial support to facilitate the smooth conduct of research activities. It ensures timely utilization of budgetary allocations and efficient procurement of equipment, chemicals, reagents, laboratory consumables, and other essential resources required for research.

The Administration functions through well-defined sections, including Establishment & Personnel, Stores & Purchases, Accounts & Budget, Project Cell, Bills, Medical Reimbursement Cell, Pension Cell, Electrical & Maintenance, and Transport, to effectively manage routine institutional and staff-related requirements. These sections operate under the overall supervision of the Senior Administrative Officer and collectively manage the day-to-day administrative and operational requirements of the Institute and its personnel, in compliance with the Fundamental Rules & Supplementary Rules (FR&SR), Central Civil Services (CCS) Rules, and ICMR guidelines.
