Personal Statement

Dr. Kalyani S is a public health physician and field epidemiologist serving as Scientist B (Medical) in the Epidemiology Division at ICMR-National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis. She holds MBBS, MD, and DNB in Community Medicine and is a graduate of the India Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Programme. She previously served as faculty and mentor in the Field Epidemiology Training Program under the NCD Division at ICMR-National Institute of Epidemiology, training state and district programme managers and epidemiologists. Her work includes multiple surveillance data analysis, outbreak investigations, multicentric programme evaluations, and epidemiological research. She is currently interested in implementation and operational research to strengthen tuberculosis control programmes and health systems.
